My name is Roddy Macleod and I come from the lovely Island of Lewis on the West Coast of Scotland. I am married to a very lovely lady called Esther, she is from Singapore and was a piper in the Singapore police pipe band. During my military service, I served with the First Battalion Queens Own Highlanders for six years. I served in Scotland, Kenya, Belize, Germany, Canada, Northern Island, and Kuwait during the first gulf war. I left the military in 1991 and worked in a civilian sector until the Lord called me to SASRA in c2005. I was converted after leaving the military by the Lord bringing my Christian up-bringing to life. Everything that my parents and many others taught me about our glorious Saviour became real and I urgently started to search for God. He graciously answered my prayer and I found stability and joy and freedom, and life in abundance, then c1998. Later I received a call to SASRA and felt the Lordís leading to apply for the post of Scripture Reader which I did and was formally accepted into the ranks May 2006. I have been working at ATC Pirbright, amongst recruits mainly, since then. I am aware daily of the Lordís enabling and strength as I serve Him here. He doesnít call the equipped but equips the called. Praise God!
